Guilford 51st Anniversary Dinner

...a gathering of friends and loved ones in June of 2021. Covid gave the plans for year 50 a brief pause. Delightful fare of asparagus vichyssoises w lobster, pan-roasted rib-eye steak w parsley-garlic bearnaise and portabello fries, monkfish w truffled potato, farm beans, and red wine-brandy sauce. Looking forward!

Sachem Head Memorial

…a gathering for a lovely and artistic gentleman, husband and father, of spring brunch fare with king salmon gravlax, bacon-leek quiche, & cinnamon bun scones over-looking the cove as the swooping and Purple Martins sang an ode.

Connecticut River 50’s Party

Madison “Perfect Pair” Engagement

… a gathering off Neck Road for a newly-betrothed couple (one dad is a Chef / practicing M.D.) so the fare and flair of classics like “soup and sandwich”, “burgers and fries” “pasta and salad” and rack of lamb w pommes anna appealed. Sparking pear Bellinis and Maui onion & oyster shooters welcomed the revelers.

Essex Lobster Roll & Cocktail Party

…a gathering of friends hosted by one of Connecticut’s long-time and well-known restauranteurs. Planning involved vital and necessary discussions detailing the size, portion, cut, holder, salt, lemon, parsley, and butter-toast of the “rolls”. Add a simple beef filet on tarragon -horseradish toasts, charcuterie, and bacon-wrapped enokis to round out the “Bill” of fare. Delightful!

Applause

“Thank you so much for rising to the challenge of dinner for 65 people during a power outage! I had so much confidence in you and in the staff at the house, I never worried for an instant! I just visited with our guests, with complete trust that in some way, some dinner would happen. And it did. You and your staff didn't miss a beat. Pat told me this morning that you were plating the dinner by flashlight! I am so grateful to you for making everything happen so that even the power outage didn't distract from the evening's celebration.”
